A Real Estate Equity Investment consists of a consumer owning a fraction of an asset, in this case, Real Estate. Similar to a stock on the stock exchange, if your real estate asset produces a profit, you, the equity investor, would receive a financial benefit. As an equity investor, your ownership percentage should remain constant. What could fluctuate is the value of the asset.
